Downtown Pittsburgh, the Golden Triangle between the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers, is almost entirely vertical living: converted office towers along Fourth and Smithfield, newer apartment buildings in the Cultural District and along the riverfront, and condos near Market Square and Point State Park. Most of Solaxay's Downtown work is inside buildings with a front desk, a freight elevator and a property manager.
That changes how a TV mount or a shelf gets installed. Walls are often poured concrete, concrete block, or metal studs behind drywall rather than wood framing, so the anchors, drill bits and mount choice are decided from photos before the visit. Many buildings also require a certificate of insurance (COI) naming the association before outside contractors can work; Solaxay is insured and can supply one when the request is sent.
Solaxay also covers the neighborhoods that ring Downtown: the Strip District, the North Shore and Allegheny Center across the river, Uptown and the Bluff along Fifth and Forbes, and the South Shore and Station Square side of the Monongahela.
